Skirting/Wall Grout:

During our full balcony regrout service, we meticulously remove the existing wall grout from the top of the skirting down to the floor tiles. To ensure superior bonding and mold protection, we employ engineered diamond tools to remove the grout to a depth of half the tile joint width. This approach surpasses the commonly used refacing method, resulting in a more resilient and long-lasting solution. The shower walls are then expertly regrouted using a smooth, flexible, and mold-resistant waterproof polymer grout, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Hydro-Barrier Application:

To provide comprehensive waterproofing, we apply our specially formulated hydro-barrier solution. This clear, high pH, deep-penetrating siloxane waterproofing solution is carefully applied to the walls and floor tiles. It effectively penetrates porous substrates, hairline cracks, and glazing crazes, creating a waterproof barrier below the surface. By preventing the ingress of water through porous substrates, our hydro-barrier ensures superior protection against moisture-related issues.

Vertical Internal Corner:

Our professional team will thoroughly prepare the vertical internal wall and wall corners before applying a new polymer sealant. This meticulous approach guarantees a secure and watertight seal in these critical areas, further enhancing the overall waterproofing effectiveness.

Epoxy Floor Preparation:

To ensure a seamless and durable result, we go beyond surface adhesion when preparing your balcony floor. Our experts remove the existing floor tile grout and carefully prepare all wall tile and floor tile junctions, including vertical and horizontal hob and wall tile junctions. This meticulous process, carried out using specially engineered diamond burs, promotes a clean product bond to the tile, resulting in long-lasting adhesion and a flawless finish.

Seal Internal Waste:

Often, the grate in balconies is not mechanically connected to the waste riser, revealing the sand and cement screed once the grate is removed. This setup allows for capillary action of wastewater through the screed underneath the tiles. To prevent further capillary action and ensure effective sealing, we apply an epoxy sleeve to the screed. This application acts as a barrier, preventing water from penetrating the screed and providing enhanced protection against potential water damage.

Epoxy Regrouting:

For the final step in our comprehensive balcony regrout service, we apply EPG epoxy grout to the prepared junctions and floor joints. This specialized epoxy grout is skillfully applied in the form of a 5mm coving around the internal corners, ensuring a neat and visually appealing result. The color of the grout will be carefully matched to your preferences, creating a cohesive and seamless appearance. EPG Epoxy grout is designed specifically for wet area sealing, boasting exceptional strength to withstand normal building movement. It does not crack, deteriorate, or allow water penetration, making it an ideal choice for balconies. Additionally, this grout is resistant to dissolution and does not weaken when exposed to strong chemical cleaning agents.
